PURPOSE:To objectively estimate the susceptibility of molds to propagate in an atmosphere to prevent the molds from propagating, i.e., the growth rate or growth conditions of the molds as accurately as possible and objectively grasp the period when the molds must be prevented as accurately as possible. CONSTITUTION:The correlation of the growth rate of molds placed under constant nutrient conditions in a certain atmosphere and various temperatures and relative humidities in the atmosphere is investigated to previously prepare data showing the relation of the growth rate of the molds with the temperatures and relative humidities. The growth rate of the molds in this atmosphere is then estimated by collating the resultant data with the temperature and relative humidity of another atmosphere to be investigated and thereby using a combination of the temperature with the humidity of the atmosphere to be investigated. |
