PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF 1,4 DIHYDROPYRIDINE DERIVATIVES

1.4-Dihydropyridines of formula (I) is prepd by reacting the cpd. of formula (II) and the cpd. of formula (III) with acid acceptable material e.g. triethyl amine or calcium carbonate, at 20-70 deg.C in organic solvent e.q. acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran or dimethyl form amide. In the form ulas, R1 is 2,3-dichlorophenyl, difluoromethoxy phenyl, 1,2,3-benzooxadiazole-4-il, 2- nitrophenyl, 2-trifluoromethyl phenyl or 3-nitrophenyl; R2 and R3 are each C1-4 straight or branched lower alkyl; X is halogen. The obtd. (I) is useful pharmaceuteucally for cadiovascular disease.
