PURPOSE:To allow even a person without the knowledge of ancient writings to understand the ancient writings by converting a text written with archaic words on an original into contemporary writings, and outputting it by a voice. CONSTITUTION:Data on an original 1 are read by an original data inputting part 2 by a reader such as an OCR, binarization-converted, and stored in a storage part 3. In a control part 4, a recognizing part 4a reads the storage data by each constant length (for example, one clause or one word), and recognizes the archaic words. Then, when the archaic words are detected, the contemporary words corresponding to the archaic words are retrieved from a data part 4c for a text conversion, and the archaic words are converted into the contemporary words by a text conversion processing part 4b. The data obtained by the above mentioned series of processing are converted into voice data by a voice data conversion processing part 5. Then, the voice data are voice-synthesized by a voice synthesis processing part 6, and outputted as the voice from a voice outputting part 7. |
