PURPOSE:To prevent the opposed end faces of an I-type core and a U-type core which form a closed magnetic circuit from deviating from each other by a method wherein a core holder where the end of the U-type core is mounted is provided to a primary coil bobbin in one piece, and the end of the U-type core is mounted on the core holder. CONSTITUTION:An I-type core 11 is mounted in a hollow inside a primary coil bobbin 10 where a primary coil is wound, and a secondary coil bobbin 12 where a secondary coil is wound is fitted to the outside of the primary coil bobbin 10. The ends of the U-type core 13 are mounted on core holders 101 provided to the primary coil bobbin 10 in one piece. By this setup, the opposed end faces of the cores 11 and 13 are prevented from deviating from each other and from varying in a gap between them, so that an engine ignition coil device of this design free from dispersion in performance and stable in structure can be easily obtained. |
