PURPOSE:To provide a step motor control circuit in which fluctuation of acceleration is suppressed through conventional hardware, and to provide a highly efficient step motor drive circuit having non-complicated circuitry in which high response equivalent to constant current PWM drive circuit is retained while reducing power consumption through a current detecting resistor as compared with the constant current PWM drive circuit. CONSTITUTION:A step motor control circuit is provided with means for storing a plurality of exciting phase switching times for a step motor, means for counting the exciting phase switching time, and means for switching the exciting phase and driving the step motor, wherein the storing means stores data value in the form of difference from previous data value. Furthermore, a step motor drive circuit employing a constant current PWM circuit is provided with a PWM circuit for compensating the time lag due to the time constant of motor coil. |
