PURPOSE:To change hierarchies of a structured document like a table of contents through a header window expressed in a form of a table of contents. CONSTITUTION:When the structured document having a logical structure is edited, the logical structure of the document being in course of editing is displayed like a table of contents by a header window display processing means 6, and an object header is indicated and inputted from an object indicating input means 1 based on the display on a display means 8, and an object specifying means 2 specifies the object of hierarchy position change on the logical structure by this indication input, and contents of the hierarchy position change are indicated by a change indicating input means 3, and a hierarchy position change means 4 changes the specified object based on the indication of contents of the hierarchy position change, and a logical structure matching processing means 5 performs the matching processing of the logical structure of the document in accordance with the hierarchy position change, and the header window display processing and the print image window display processing are performed based on this matching processing, and the hierarchy change result is displayed again on the display means 8. |
