PURPOSE:To provide an electrode plate for a lead-acid battery where porosity can be enhanced without increasing a quantity of an active substance and productivity cannot be deteriorated. CONSTITUTION:An active substance layer is made of active substance paste added, as an additive member, with fiber, which can be decomposed, burnt, or contracted in a process of manufacturing an electrode plate. Because the fiber is decomposed, burnt or contracted, a relatively large pore can be formed in an active substance. Since a filling property of the active substance paste with respect to a current collector cannot be deteriorated even if the fiber is added, the electrode plate can be manufactured by means of existing equipment. |
