The tool has two plastic outer plates (1,2) with parallel semicylindrical grooves (71,72) moulded on their inner faces, the outer faces being flat, with a hand-grip (5) on one of them. The inner plates (3) have identical grooves (73) moulded on both faces. Along each outside edge, moulded cylindrical beading extends over either 25% of the length at each end (10), or 50%, centrally (11), so that, when assembled, adjoining beadings interlock. Continuous axial holes (12) then accept hinge-pins (13) whose turned-out ends are retained in transverse grooves (16). The tool is assembled on one side, and wires are placed correctly in the grooves. The other side is then closed, maintaining relative wire positions. The tool is passed along the cable-way while permanent fixings are made behind it. ADVANTAGE - Installation of wires by single person becomes feasible.
