PURPOSE:To increase the C/N of an optical disk. CONSTITUTION:The optical disk is produced by using a plastic stamper. This plastic stamper is produced by executing a first stage for applying a resist 2 on the surface of a first substrate 1, a second stage for preparing original plate diagrams 1, b of the resist by patterning the resist 2, a third stage for forming a release layer 6 on the surface of the patterned resist and a fourth stage for applying a radiation curing resin, for example, a UV curing resin, on this release layer 6. In succession, the stamper is produced by the production stages consisting of a fifth stage for imposing a second substrate on the radiation curing resin 4, a sixth stage for curing the radiation curing resin 4 by irradiating the resin with radiations, for example, UV rays and a seventh stage for peeling the stamper from the boundary between the release layer 6 and the resist 2. The substrate consisting of glass or plastic which is thicker than heretofore and has 3 to 6mm thickness is used for the second substrate. As a result, the optical disk having the high C/N is produced without increasing the production stages and production costs. |
