PURPOSE:To obtain an electrochemical detector which achieves a sensitive electrochemical detection by providing a sensitive electrode utilizing a hollow yarn and then comprising the electrode. CONSTITUTION:Copper wires are fixed to the edge part of a metal covering hollow yarn 12, a hollow yarn electrode where these are inserted into a glass tube, a silver/silver chloride electrode, and a Pt coil electrode are used as a work electrode, a reference electrode 22, and a counter electrode 24, respectively, a sample liquid solution positively contacts the metal layer when it passes the thin hole of the hollow yarn and then leaches from the inside of the hollow yarn to the outside, and then a target constituent in the liquid solution becomes its oxidant. At this time, by converting the current flowing to the hollow yarn electrode to voltage and then amplifying it, a sensitive electrochemical detection can be made. |
