PURPOSE:To obtain an information recording medium having the uniform thickness of a recording layer and undergoing no change in a substrate as the information recording medium using plastic as the substrate. CONSTITUTION:An org. dye-based recording layer is formed on a plastic substrate optionally after an underlayer is formed on the substrate and a protective layer is further formed as necessary. The recording layer and/or the underlayer contains at least one kind of glycerol ester having specified structure.
