PURPOSE:To easily play a KARAOKE in a proper key matching the range of a singer's voice. CONSTITUTION:When performance music is specified through operation on a console panel 14, music data on the specified performance music are read out of a hard disk device 23 and loaded in a RAM 13, and the performance of the KARAOKE is started according to the music. While the KARAOKE is played, musical sound information is generated by a musical sound synthesizing device 15 according to the music data and reproduced by a speaker 18 through a mixer 17 and character image information on text information is generated by a computer graphic device 19 in synchronism with the advance of the music and displayed on a display device 22 through an image composing device 21. When the song begins to be sung, a pitch detection part 27 detects the pitch of the beginning of the song, compares the pitch with pitch data in the music data, and transposes the performance data to the pitch of the singer. This transposing operation is performed by a CPU 11. |
