PURPOSE:To decrease an operation and the number of processes required at the time of recognizing an object shape or a complicated processing by outputting an image so that a direction of each point on the surface of an object in a three-dimensional space can be discriminated. CONSTITUTION:From three-dimensional shape data 21, a unit normal vector of each point on the surface of an object is calculated by a calculation program 11. Subsequently, the unit normal vector is converted to discriminatable display data by a display program 12 and displayed onto a two-dimensional plane. In this case, one kind of unit normal vector existing in a certain image has information of its direction, number and distribution, and these information is expressed by combining symbols of a character, a numeral, an arrow, etc., and attributes of color, size, length, a display position, etc., being incidental thereto. This is a conversion to discriminatable data, and these displayed information, symbol and attribute can be selected interactively in accordance with a use purpose. |
