PURPOSE:To prevent destruction by centrifugal force in the case the rotor of a motor rotating a light deflecting element at high speed is constituted only of a magnet. CONSTITUTION:This light deflector is provided with a polygon mirror 11 deflecting an incident light beam by rotation so as to perform scanning and a motor rotating the polygon mirror 11, and a reference pedestal part 21 to which the polygon mirror 11 is closely attached is installed on the rotary shaft 20 of the motor. The rotor of the motor is constituted only of a rotor magnet 30 attached to the rotary shaft 20 and the polygon mirror 11 is arranged between the reference pedestal part 21 of the rotary shaft 20 and the rotor magnet 30, and the rotor magnet 30 is constituted of the magnet embedded in resin 89, thereby preventing the destruction by the centrifugal force. |
