The safety device consists of a flat key (1), cut so that it will fit in the lock and turn it, and a spring (2) which rests against a notch at the base of the enlarged end of the key. When the key is pushed into the lock, the spring is compressed in a housing in the base. When the pressure on the key is released, the spring pushes the key out of the lock. USE/ADVANTAGE - For completing circuit in motor vehicles as a safety device when infra-red remote control does not work. Increased security as key springs out of lock and can be removed. Ease of use.
