PURPOSE:To simplify an operation at the time of editing in a document prepar ing device constituted so as to input the respective information of characters, graphics and pictures, etc., with different attributes for document preparation in optional different areas on a display screen by an input means capable of displaying a screen for the document preparation on a display means and option ally instructing input positions and prepare and edit a document. CONSTITUTION:The position (coordinates) on the display screen instructed by the input means (S1) at the time of editing is obtained (S2) and in which input area (frame) of the respective information stored in a storage means the position is investigated (S3). Then, the pertinent frame is selected (S5 or S6 and S7), it is judged that the input information of the frame is an editing object and a processing mode is switched correspondingly (S8). Thus, the processing mode can be automatically switched corresponding to the editing object and the operation for the changeover can be eliminated. |
