PURPOSE:To make a light beam incident on and omits from an optical information recording medium at a right angle, to prevent the increase in the occupancy space and to make the size smaller by dividing the tip to the end portion of the base plate and forming a bend which is freely bendable. CONSTITUTION:At a light pickup 15, a light beam is conventionally made incident on and emits from the surface of the tip section at an approximately 15 degree angle. However, the tip section, where light beams are made incident on and emit, is tilted at the bend 18 and thus, light beams are made incident on and emit from an optical disk 8 at a right angle. Therefore, the tilted portion is only the tip section of the optical pickup 15 and no need to tilt the entire section, the increase in the occupancy space is prevented and the size is made smaller. |
