PURPOSE: To provide a management means for a plurality of message distributed trees of a message communication user group. CONSTITUTION: Each node of a multi-node communication system has an operating process to generate distribution trees, by which efficient multiplex arrangement and band width reservation tasks are conducted as a set manager for a specific set of nodes and users. The count of active users in a node is given in response to an index set, when a tree leader makes a tree. Each set manager in a specific node monitors changes in master-slave relation of trees and a link fault and informs the necessity of the tree leader to each tree related to the case of occurrence of a link fault by direct communication between the set manager and the tree leader, without intervention of other elements of the system or the occurrence of a change in the number of users.
