PURPOSE:To provide an ultrasonic motor which can amplify displacement easily while realizing downsizing. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic motor comprises an ultrasonic oscillator 7 which performs such rotational motion as the end face thereof inclines against the central axis upon application of electric energy on first and second piezoelectric elements 2, 3 located at the nodes thereof, and a tapered displacement amplifying oscillation piece 6 formed axially on the end face of the ultrasonic oscillator 7 with a concentric groove 6a being made at the nodal position. A rotor 21 is pressed against the end face of the displacement amplifying oscillation piece 6 through a press mechanism and moved in a predetermined direction. |
