VIDEO SIGNAL RECORDER

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in compressed picture quality due to inversion of even/odd fields in succeeding frames when the even/odd fields are discontinuous when compression based on the frame of the video image is implemented. CONSTITUTION:The recorder is provided with a changeover means 2 which selects it that ;a video input is outputted as it is or an output of a delay circuit 1 delaying the video input by one field is outputted. A signal controlling the changeover means 2 is obtained by a changeover control circuit 5 receiving an output of a discontinuity/continuity detection circuit 4 which detects discontinuity of even/odd fields in the inputted video signal.
