PURPOSE:To improve precision of a gap between an image carrier and a separating part with a simple construction in the image forming device provided with the separating part electrically separating a sheet after a toner image on a image carrier such as a photosensitive drum is transferred to the sheet. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device is provided with a toner image forming means 5 forming the toner image on the image carrier 40, a transfer means 42 transferring the toner image on the image carrier 40 to the sheet carried through a carrying path, the separating means 8 to separate the sheet by imparting electric charge downstream of the transferring means 42 which is the reverse polarity as the electric charge of the backside of the sheet, and is constituted so that at least a frame 10a provided with the separating means 8 is opened and closed with the carrying path as the border line. The separating means 8 is constituted to be mobile against the frame 10a, a positioning member 22 is provided on the main body frame 20 with the image carrier 40 thus, the separating means 8 is positioned by the positioning member 22 when the frame 10a is closed.
