FRAME PROCESSING UNIT IN DIGITAL VIDEO SIGNAL RECORDER

摘要

PURPOSE:To substantially improve the correction capability of an error correction code by applying error correction to a parameter itself such as a threshold level number of a variable length ADRC and quantization step of DCT and correcting the error of the parameter itself. CONSTITUTION:A recording data quantity is controlled constant in the unit of K-pieces of SYNC blocks of reproduced data. Same reproduction threshold level number data are repetitively inserted in each SYNC block. A frequency distribution table of the reproduced threshold level number is generated by a frequency distribution table generator 25 with respect to the K-pieces of SYNC blocks. A maximum frequency in the table is selected by a selection circuit 26 as a correct reproduction threshold level number. The threshold level number in the data via a delay circuit 22 is replaced with the selected reproduction threshold level number at a correction circuit 24. Error correction using an error correction code is implemented at a circuit after the correction circuit 24.
