Automatic capacitor polarity identification device - compares obtained integrals for application of positive and negative measuring voltages to capacitor electrode
摘要
The polarity identification device determines the polarity of an electrolytic capacitor using a switched DC source (QU) allowing a positive or negative measuring voltage (+Uref, -Uref) to be applied to one capacitor electrode (E1). The second capacitor electrode (E2) is coupled to a reference potential (MP), or to the input of a current/voltage converter (IV), which is coupled at the output side to an integrator. A control and evaluation circuit (SAS) switches in the integrator after a defined interval from application of the positive and negative measuring voltages, with the obtained integrals corresponding to each of the latter being compared. USE/ADVANTAGE - Rapid identification of capacitor polarity for use with automatic printed circuit board assembly system.
