The cable connection portion (A2) has side plate sections (2) upturned at both sides of its base (1) and spaced apart by smooth clamping portions (3) each contg. a wire contact slit (3a). Each clamping portion is cut out and upturned from the same base, with integral locking projections (3d) from both sides of the upright feet (3c) which are thereby broadened and stiffened at the points of stress concn. The projections engage in slots (2a) cut out of the side plate sections. USE/ADVANTAGE - Mainly for motor-vehicle cable looms, device has stiffened smooth clamping portion which is held stably in upright position.
