The method for automatic stereoscopic photography of car accidents at the time of collision uses two or four camera pairs fixed within the car and triggered by the collision. Two camera pairs are positioned behind the front and rear windscreens. Two further pairs are positioned next to the side windows as appropriate. A collision sensor consists of a pair of electrical conductors which are brought into contact by a collision displacement, and triggers an electrical signal to the cameras. USE/ADVANTAGE - Resolves relative positions of involved vehicles in road collisions, gaining evidence for insurance and civil disputes.
