Injection moulding void-free, e.g. nylon, handles for furniture - by forming external collar on surface of injected shot, allowing to partly cool, and driving its material into still plastic main moulding

In a plastics injection moulding process flow faults are prevented from occurring by a sprue opening outside the mould cavity, whereby a ring-shaped collar is formed first on a surface of the moulding and this collar is then removed. It is removed by being pressed (at least partly) into the still mouldable part when the injection stage has finished. ADVANTAGE - The procedure is suitable for e.g. nylon U-shaped handles for furniture. It eliminates any need for post-moulding operations.
