The flat, rubbery compensating piece, placed under each leg or plinth, consists of a hollow part enclosed on all sides and filled with a frost-proof low viscosity mass. The hollow part is lens-shaped and has a flat, rigid surface in the middle of its top surface, or is annular with a central vertical opening. Under pressure, the mass is compressed widthways against the resistance of the hollow part outer wall, so that the total height is decreased until the pressure exerted by the weight, and the resistance force of the outer rim are equalised. The hollow part underside has a flat plate with milled edges as shield and gliding aid. USE/ADVANTAGE - The compensating piece for useful articles such as tables, chairs, benches or cupboards, standing on legs or plinths, compensates for uneven ground and prevents wobbling.
