The electronic unit has a memory (9,21) to store a correction address for the data stored in fixed memory (4). A comparator (8) is used to compare an output address of the CPU (2) with the correction address. The comparator outputs a coincidence signal (E) when it is determined that the two addresses match. A control circuit (7d) receives command signals from a external input source (15). The correction data may be stored in an EEPROM (13). The electronic unit as a whole acts as a microcontroller which controls some or all functions of an electronic device and also controls itself with correction data and a comparator. USE/ADVANTAGE - For control of VTR with built-in camera, i.e. camcorder. Corrects data for error-free control.
