Cassette for peristaltic blood pump

Equipment for circulating and treating blood external to the body of a patient uses cassettes which can be removed from the front panel and replaces again. Each cassette (34) has a housing (36) guiding the tube of a peristaltic pump so that rollers can rotate against it. The tube is supported to form two loops (44) projecting from two sides with straight parts projecting from opposite ends.The sides and ends have open ended slots (48) to support the tubes in alternative selected positions and the slots in the sides can carry supports (4b) which also guide the external loops. The rollers squeeze the tubes against the walls of chambers into which the loops are inserted
