The engine has two ring shaped piston carriers (14,17) and the control drive is arranged radially within the piston carriers. Two crank shafts (9,10) pass through the piston carriers which revolve with the speed of the drive shaft (3) about the central axis (2). The piston shafts are rotatable about a rotary axis parallel to the central axis. Their crank journals (12,13;15,16) are joined to the respective piston carriers. USE/ADVANTAGE - Suitable for use as a pump, motor or compressor. It has a compact construction and is capable of balancing high torque moments.
