<p>The invention provides a pulsimeter comprising heart beat detecting means (3) for detecting a heart beat and for generating a detected heart beat signal, heart rate computing means (5) for computing a heart rate per unit time on the basis of the detected heart beat signal, setting means (1, 2) for setting an upper limit value for the heart rate and a normal value for the heart rate, and exercise intensity computing means (4) for computing exercise intensity on the basis of output data from the heart rate computing means and the setting means.
