Improvements in electrical storage heaters

To control the electric heater element of a storage heater, switch contacts 262, 264 are operated by a diaphragm 26 of an oil container responsive, by oil expansion and contraction, to the temperature of heat storage blocks. Pipe 28 connects the container to a phial 30 outside the heater and containing oil responsive to ambient temperature. The ratio of phial volume to container volume is greater than 9:1. The fluid in the container is 4% of the total fluid. The diaphragm is located above the storage blocks, and the phial attached at the base of a rear heater panel.
