<p>An audio device includes a playback device, such as a tape or CD player, and a radio. The audio device can be set to interrupt the playback device, upon receiving a signal, to output a special broadcast, such as a traffic information broadcast. When the playback device is interrupted during normal playback, playback is paused. Therefore, when the audio device switches back to the playback, the recording continues from the point at which playback was interrupted. When the playback device is interrupted during a special function, such as rewind or fast-foreword, the playback device is permitted to continue the special function to its completion while the broadcast is output.</p> |
