Thermoplastic resin composition and process for producing the same.

A thermoplastic resin composition comprises (a) a polyester or polyamide, and (bl) an olefin elastomer modified with an unsaturated glycidyl compound represented by the formula (I) below, <CHEM> Optionally, the composition includes any one of (b2), (c), (d1) and (d2), (b2) being a polyolefin modified with an unsaturated glycidyl compound represented by the formula (I) above; (c) being an olefin elastomer; (d1) being an olefin elastomer modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof; and (d2) being a polyethylene modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof. The thermoplastic resin composition has the characteristic properties of an olefin elastomer and a polyester or polyamide and is light in weight and of superior heat resistance.
