<p>PURPOSE:To save the time required for sorting operation and improve the productivity of system by providing a paper discharge tray capable of reciprocatively shifting in the direction orthogonal to the discharge direction of a recording paper, and a control part for differing the shift timing of the paper discharge tray according to the recording paper size discharged onto the paper discharge tray. CONSTITUTION:When a paper discharge sensor NS2 is OFF by the rear end part of a recording paper passing a paper discharge sensor NS2, and it is detected that the recording paper is being discharged onto a paper discharge tray 107, the recording size is judged. If the judged recording paper size, for example, A5 size, requires 295msec until the recording paper is lowered onto the discharge tray 107 and stopped from the detection of the recording paper rear end part by the paper discharge sensor NS2, a timer 1 preliminarily set to 295msec is ON. When the paper size is A4 size, a timer 2 set to 300msec is ON. The timer is counted up by the completion of the discharge and stacking of the recording papers corresponding to all pages of the recording papers.</p> |
