PURPOSE:To simplify and miniaturize the structure of a driving unit for opening and closing a horizontally moving door for use in a railway car and the like by providing a piping-free mechanism in which a nut having an disengaging mechanism is engaged with a threaded shaft which is rotated by a torque motor in the normal and reverse directions. CONSTITUTION:A nut 50 having a disengaging mechanism 60 is mounted on the upper portion of the entrance door 20 of a car and is engaged with a threaded shaft 40 connected to a torque motor 30 for rotating the nut 50 in the normal and reverse directions. The torque motor 30 is rotated in the normal or reverse direction so that the door 20 opens or closes along a guide rail 21. In an emmergency, the nut 50 is disengaged from the threaded shaft 40 by means of a control lever 61 so that the door 20 can be manually opened. The device can thus be miniaturized with the number of part items reduced. |
