PRODUCTION OF 1,3-BENZOXAZINE DERIVATIVE

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound safely, simply and in high yield without using an ammonia gas and a pressure container by reacting a ketone compound with an ammonium salt and a carbonyl compound in the presence of an amine. CONSTITUTION:A ketone compound of formula I (ring A is benzene ring; R<1> is group bonded through C) is reacted with an ammonium salt and a carbonyl compound of formula II (R<2> and R<3> are H or group bonded through C; R<2> and R<3> may be bonded to form a ring) or its equivalent in the presence of a secondary or tertiary amine (e.g. piperidine) to give a compound of formula III. The compound of formula III is useful as medicine, optical material recording material, etc., or its synthetic intermediate.
