PURPOSE:To ensure a wide working space around a working face by connecting double type expansion pipes in sludge feed and discharge pipes in a sludge pressurizing type shield machine so that the front ends of the expansion pipes can follow up these sludge pipes even though the diameters of the sludge pipes are larger than those of the expansion pipes. CONSTITUTION:Double pipe type expansion pipes 4a, 4b are connected in sludge feed and discharge pipes 7, 6. When a front barrel 1 is advanced due to extension of slide jacks 5, the expansion pipes 4a, 4b are extended. When the front barrel 1 is moved backward due to retraction of the slide jacks 5, the expansion pipes 4a, 4b are contacted. Further, even though the sludge feed pipe 7 and the sludge discharge pipe 6 are large, the expansion pipes 4a, 4b are not deformed but are merely expanded and contracted in its axial direction. Accordingly, the front end parts of the sludge feed and discharge pipes can follow up the forward and backward movement of the front barrel within a small space. |
