PURPOSE:To provide an engine brake according to the gradient of the slope in the case of a continuously variable transmission. CONSTITUTION:A brake signal computing part 16 to compute the frequency of the brake signal to be received from a brake switch 10 within the specified period of time when the brake switch 10 is on, and a range judging part 18 to judge the range selected by a range switch 12 are provided. In addition, a D-range signal computing part 20 to compute the frequency of the D-range signal to be received from the range judging part 18 within the specified period of time, and a speed change ratio change judging part 22 to judge the change of the speed change ratio from the preset reference speed change ratio if either of the input numbers of the signal to be received from the brake signal computing part 16 and the D-range signal computing part 20 respectively is the specified value or over are provided. A speed change control device consists of a speed change ratio determining part 24 to determine the speed change based on the judgement of change of the speed change ratio change judging part 22 and a driving part 26 to drive a speed change actuator 28 based on the speed change ratio to be determined by the speed change ratio determining part 24. |
