RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE TREAD

PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition improved in grip in running on an iced road surface and a wet road surface. CONSTITUTION:The composition comprises 100 pts.wt. stock rubber consisting mainly of at least one rubber selected from the group consisting of a styrene/ butadiene copolymer rubber, a natural rubber, a polyisoprene rubber and other diene rubbers and 3-60 pts.wt. modified polyester obtained by reacting a dihydric alcohol with a dicarboxylic acid and further reacting the product with a monobasic aliphatic acid.
