<p>PURPOSE:To determine the neutral angle position of the input shaft of a rear wheel steering device having an auxiliary hydraulic system, quickly and accurately. CONSTITUTION:(a) The neutral angle position of a control yoke is calculated, (b) an input shaft 31 is fixed at an arbitrary angle position which is set as a temparary central angle position, (c) the control yoke is turned in a clockwise direction through the first angle thetaS1, (d) the input shaft 31 is turned from the temporary neutral angle position, clockwise and counterclockwise, and the central angle position thetaH1 of the input shaft 31 in the first characteristic is cauculated, according to the first characteristic which expresses the displacement quantity of a rear wheel steering shaft 15 to the rotation angle of the input shaft 31 at the time of (d). (e) Similarly, thetaS2 and thetaH2 are causulated by the reverse operation, regular central angle position of the input shaft 31 is calculated from the phase difference DELTAtheta and thetaS1/thetaS2, and the input shaft 31 is set in the position.</p> |
