PURPOSE:To provide a polyester composition containing inert particles surface- treated with a specific compound, and capable of producing films excellent in abrasion resistance and scratch resistance and suitably used for magnetic recording media, etc. CONSTITUTION:The polyester composition is produced by adding or kneading (B) 0.01-10wt.% of inert particles surface-treated with a sulfonyl group or metal sulfonate group-containing compound of the formula (M is H, monovalent metal atom; R is organic group; X is functional group selected from OH, COOH, an alkoxycarbonyl group; (m) is 1 or 2; (n) is natural number) and having an average particle diameter of 0.005-2mum (preferably zirconium or aluminum oxide particles treated with 0.01-20wt.% of the compound of the formula) to the polymerization reaction system of (A) a thermoplastic polyester, preferably polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene-2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate, or with the melted product of the component A. And the film comprises the composition. |
