PURPOSE: To provide a vomiting treating agent consisting of a tachykinin antagonist contg. P material antagonists and other neurokinin antagonists as effective components. CONSTITUTION: The tachykinin antagonist of formula I [R is formula II (R' is a halogen, alkyl, alkoxyl, etc.; R<2> , R<3> are H, a halogen, an alkyl, cyano, etc.), 2-pyridinyl, 2-pyridinyl-N-oxide], for example, (2S,3S)-3-(2- methoxybenzylamino)-2-phenylpiperidine are incorporated as the effective components into the treating agent. The tachykinin antagonist contg. the P material antagonists and other neurokinin antagonists is effective for treating of the nausea, retching and vomiting occurring in cancer chemotherapy, radiation sickness, radiation therapy, poisons, toxins, pregnancy, vestibular disorder, postoperative diseases, gastrointestinal disorder, gastrointestinal motility degradation, visceral pains, migrain, intracranial pressure increase, intercranial pressure drop, opioid analgesics, etc.
