PURPOSE:To make the print curl smaller and reduce the deformation generated by the water content compared with a medium provided by using cellulose fiber paper by forming a dye acceptor layer on a base of synthetic fibers and providing a receiver medium for sublimation type heat transfer. CONSTITUTION:Synthetic resin such as polyester, polyolefin or polystyrene is processed into fibers by melt spinning or other means, and a base preferably composed of synthetic fiber paper of 0.8g/cm<3> density or less is formed. Resin for the dye acceptor layer such as polyester resin, polycarbonate or vinyl chloride resin is dissolved in a solvent to prepare the coating liquid for forming the dye acceptor layer. The coating liquid is applied to a base composed of synthetic fibers for coating and dried thereon to form the dye acceptor layer and provide a receiver medium for sublimation type heat transfer. Also a resin layer can be formed between the base and the dye acceptor layer for the purpose of improving the battery properties and the like at the time of forming the dye acceptor layer and preventing the formation of voids at the time of dye transfer. |
