PURPOSE:To provide an image receiver for sublimation type heat transfer without the generation of heat shrinkage by laminating a polymer substance layer and a dye acceptor layer successively on the upper face of a base made of fibers as principal component and with a core material of paper of specified density. CONSTITUTION:A base made of fibers such as synthetic fibers or natural fibers as a principal component and with a core material of paper of density of 0.8g/cm<3> or less is formed. A polymer substance such as polyvinyl alcohol, polyester or a vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer is dissolved in a solvent to prepare coating liquid for forming a polymer substance layer. Separately synthetic resin such as acryl resin, polyvinyl acetate or the like is dissolved in a solvent to prepare coating liquid for forming a dye acceptor layer. The coating liquid for forming the polymer substance layer is applied on the base and dried thereon to form the polymer substance layer, to which the coating liquid for forming the dye acceptor layer is applied and dried thereon, and a dye acceptor layer is laminated to provide a receiver medium for sublimation type heat transfer. |
