PURPOSE: To provide a switchable differential gear unit capable of establishing operating stages having different gear ratios. CONSTITUTION: A switchable differential gear unit is equipped with a differential gear unit case 31 for driving a vehicle by a motor 29, a differential motion basket 32 capable of being driven, two axial motion shaft wheels connected with protruding output shaft 40 and coupled with each other via a correcting wheel, and two clutches furnished directly with first output shaft, and with second output shaft coaxially with an axial motion shaft 42 and arranged coaxially. At the first operating stage, the first clutch is capable of being operated, and the output shafts are connected with the axial motion shaft 42, in such a way as not capable of rotating while the second clutch 44 is released; at the second operating stage (one-wheel driving), the second clutch 44 is operated, and the output shaft is connected incapable of rotation with the differential drive while the other clutch is released. |
