<p>PURPOSE:To provide a new monoclonal antibody capable of specifically recognizing a Lactobacillus lactis such as Lactobacillus plantarum and, therefore, quickly, sensitively and specifically detecting this harmful Lactobacillus contained in beer. CONSTITUTION:A monoclonal antibody, e.g. monoclonal antibody 55-1C3 (Bikoken stipulation No. 13163) obtained by immunizing a mammal with Lactobacillus plantarum belonging to Lactobacillus. Production of the antibody is carried out by mixing Lactobacillus plantarum with an adjuvant, immunizing a mammal such as BALB/c mouse, etc., therewith, then fusing a splenic cell of the mammal to a myeloma, selecting a strain producing the objective antibody from the resultant hybridoma, cloning it and subsequently proliferating it in the abdominal dropsy of a mouse.</p> |
