<p>PURPOSE:To unlock a door by means of the power source of a key for an electric motor-driven cylinder lock if a battery is exhausted and to sound an alarm if keys other than the normal one are used by providing the key with a power source and a discharge terminal, and providing the cylinder lock with electric terminals and alarm terminals, etc. CONSTITUTION:A key 10 for use with a cylinder lock driven by an electric motor M mounted in an automobile or the like is provided with a rechargeable battery 14 and the cylinder lock is provided with electric terminals 25a, 25b, 25c and a power switching portion 3, etc. The cylinder lock is also provided with a plurality of alarm terminals. Should a battery B be exhausted, the power switching portion is switched so that the door can be unlocked by means of the power source of the key 10, and that when keys other than the normal one are used to unlock the door, an alarm sounds. The security of vehicles can thus be enhanced.</p> |
