摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a multiplex communication type shift position display device which does not display an incorrect shift position different from a present shift position even when abnormility is generated in a clock signal and a latch signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a shift position detection sensor is fed to a communication manager 10. The communication manager 10 based on a detection signal from the sensor generates a data signal DATA including a shift position to feed it to an IC shift register 12a, and it also feeds a clock signal CLOCK and a latch signal LATCH together with the data signal DATA via a watch dog circuit 14. The watch dog circuit 14 detects abnormality in the clock signal CLOCK or the latch signal LATCH to feed an abnormality signal to the IC shift register 12a so as to clear contents of an indicator 12b.
