PURPOSE:To achieve a low floor while making a good use of an advantage of full-frame structure excellent in mounting capability by extending a drive shaft connected to a drive axle laterally over a pair of right and left base frames extending in longitudinal direction of a vehicle body. CONSTITUTION:A single cab type pick up adopting a front wheel drive system comprises a bonnet section 2 constituting the front part of a vehicle, a cabin section 3 positioned at the rear of it, and a deck section 3' forming the rear part of the vehicle. Also an automobile 1 is provided with a full-frame structure made by extending a pair of roughly straight base frames 7 (7L and 7R) in the longitudinal direction. In this case, an engine 9 and a transmission NO are arranged so that it is positioned over the base frames 7, and a drive shaft 4a of front wheels 4 as drive wheels is extended over the base frames 7. In addition, a catalyst 11, a fuel tank 12, and a silencer 14 are arranged roughly in the same plane as the base frames 7. |
